Security
Research in sensor network security include primarily countermeasures to denial-of-service attacks (e.g., various forms of jamming), applications of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography to protecting information, energy-efficient and scalable key management schemes. To help us understand the various security threats to sensor networks, so as to devise the corresponding countermeasures, it is paramount that we have a testbed for producing these threats and physically verify our countermeasures against these threats and validate the practicality by physically measuring the energy consumption of our security schemes.
