Professor Iyengar has been an invited speaker at numerous international conferences. His professional activities and awards have included the following roles: Editor for IEEE Transactions on Computers; Distinguished Alumnus award by IISc Bangalore, India; Elected as a Member to the European Academy of Sciences(EAS) in Computer Sciences; Satish Dhawan Professorship Award Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore; Fellow of Association of Computing Machinery (ACM); Member of Prestigious National Research Council (NRC) Review Panel in Basic Sciences and Engineering; Fellow of American Association of Advancement of Science (AAAS); IEEE Computer Society Technical Achievement Award; Fellow of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He has served as Chair/coordinator/speaker/program committee member for numerous international workshops and conferences.
