We are pleased to invite you to the IoT Week 2012, Europe’s leading conference on the Internet of Things. The second edition of the conference will consist of top- class speeches of renowned senior executives and academics, challenging workshops and sophisticated panel discussions.


IoT-Week 2012 will take place in the heart of Venice on 18-22 June 2012

The IoT Week 2012 is complemented by the second event of the IoT International Forum that will take place on 20-21 June 2012 in the same venue.  

IoT week is a joint endeavor of the following EU FP7 Research projects IoT-A - Internet of Things – Architecture, IoT-i - Internet of Things – Initiative, iCore, Butler, probeIT, CASAGRASII, IoT@Work, eBBits, IoT6, 6DEPLOY, HOBNET, OpenIoT, PLANET, GAMBAS and SmartSantander.

The objective of the IoT week together with the second event of the IoT International Forum is to unite the world of the IoT community by offering a platform for the latest news on research topics, revealing political and societal insights and provide opportunities to make new contacts.

Participation only to the IoT International Forum event (20-21 June) is free of charge.

This year, we are happy to welcome top-tier representatives from the world of IoT. IoTWeek 2012 will feature, Constantijn van Oranje-Nassau, Member of the Cabinet of Vice-President Neelie Kroes, Adam Greenfield, writer, designer and founder of Urbanscale,  Usman Haque, director Haque Design + Research Ltd, founder of, Gerald Santucci, European Commission European as well as Ken Sakamura (creator of Real Time OS Tron) and further renown international speakers.

Eager to surpass the success story of the 2011 IoT Week event, this year’s sessions will take stock of the latest European IoT projects and developments on following research topics IoT Cognitive Technologies, IoT Architecture, IoT Exploitation, IoT and energy and IoT Enabling Technologies, IoT in Health Care, IPv6 and IoT, and many more with case and research studies from Europe, Asia, USA and Southern America.

Societal challenges such as Privacy and Security, IoT and Ethics as well as IoT Governance will also be addressed. During workshops and panel discussions participants will get the opportunity to share their knowledge and exchange best practices and new business models beyond their own fields of study. This diversity has an enormous potential to offer a variety of multidisciplinary solutions to these IoT challenges.
