If you are involved with developments for the future Internet, if you're interested in ethical and societal issues linked to the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) technologies or if you have innovative ideas and business models that could support this development, you might be interested in joining the IoT International Forum community

You will be aware of the emergence of M2M (Machine2Machine), WSN (Wireless Sensor Networks), RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), Near Field Communication (NFC) technologies, and concepts such as Ambient Intelligence and Pervasive Computing, all of which come under the umbrella of the Internet of Things (IoT). The IoT is an essential enabler for many of the emerging business opportunities we see around us today in Smart Cities, Smart Grid, Intelligent Transport, eHealth, etc.

Keeping up to date with developments in IoT can be time consuming as there is no focal point for IoT matters. However, help is at hand - the IoT Forum aims to keep the community informed about advances in IoT technology, standardisation, regulation, business/economic matters, societal issues and governance.
